Educational Testing Service’s Core Operations Certified to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems Standards

Princeton, N.J. (December 4, 2014) — Officials with DEKRA Certification, Inc. have announced that Educational Testing Service's Quality Management System has been certified to the ISO 9001:2008 standards. The certification covers ETS's headquarters in Princeton, NJ as well as five offices nationwide conducting test development, statistical analysis and R&D.

The ISO 9001:2008 standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the role of top management, the process approach, and continual improvement.  The standards provide guidance and tools for companies and organizations that want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customers' requirements, and that quality is continually improved.

Companies gain certification by implementing policies, procedures, and systems that meet ISO standards, which are assessed by a third-party certification body.  As part of the ETS certification process, DEKRA Certification performed a series of audits and will continue ongoing assessments to monitor compliance.
