Thriving in spite of adversity and realizing their potential. This year, 25 New Jersey high school graduates who overcame tremendous obstacles were awarded ETS Community Action Fund (ECAF) Scholarships, during a recent ceremony on the ETS Princeton campus.
ECAF Scholarships are 100 percent funded by donations from ETS employees for New Jersey students who, despite facing considerable personal challenges, overcame and achieved academic excellence. Since 2011, scholarships totaling $1.2 M have been awarded to nearly 250 New Jersey students.
“You’ve had some extraordinary hardships and challenges, and you’ve prevailed. And you’re an inspiration to all of us, the fact that you’re here today,” said ETS CEO Walt MacDonald. “So, on behalf of all of the staff here at ETS, and on behalf of myself, we’re really proud of you. We really congratulate you and we wish you the best of luck in the years ahead because you’re going to do great.”
